Rapeseed - a demanding crop

Rapeseed is a plant most people associate with rapeseed oil used for food purposes. In addition to using rapeseed to produce edible oil, it is also used for industrial and energy purposes.

Rapeseed is divided into spring and winter rapeseed.

In Poland, the cultivation of the latter variety definitely dominates. Winter rapeseed is a component of rapeseed oil and is used to produce biodiesel fuel.

Soil and nutritional requirements of rapeseed.

Rapeseed is a crop with high requirements in terms of soil quality. It produces high yields on fertile soils, rich in calcium and humus, with quality classes I-III. Worse yields are obtained on class IV soil, while class V and VI are not suitable for its cultivation at all. It is not recommended to grow rapeseed on wet, dry and sandy soils due to the fact that this plant requires a lot of irrigation.

Rapeseed, like any crop, requires the use of fertilizers. Fertilizers for rapeseed should contain appropriate doses of ingredients: nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium. Magnesium, boron and sulfur are administered as supplements.

Rapeseed fertilization program.

Novagra® is a company producing innovative foliar fertilizers and plant protection products. It offers its customers products containing CARPARMID protein, which improves the absorption of substances by the plant.

Crop Fertilization Programs created by our experts will precisely determine the preparations and the time of their delivery (depending on the growth phase of a specific plant) to crops such as: potatoes, cereals, rapeseed, beets, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries and many others that require fertilization. and providing nutrients.

What fertilizers are recommended by our specialists for rapeseed? In the case of rapeseed cultivation, we have created a feeding plan at Novagra.

At the leaf development stage, we recommend using two preparations:

VitaStar® SUPER Micro - suspension foliar fertilizer with a huge dose of potassium, nitrogen, sulfur and magnesium; VitaStar® K - solution foliar preparation, it is a mineral fertilizer with a condensed dose of potassium.

The development phase of side shoots is supported by VitaStar® S fertilizer, which is a concentrated formula containing sulfur and nitrogen; supports the absorption of key substances through the root systems.

Some fertilizers are used not only in one growth phase, they can be overlapped, which intensifies their effect.

For the next three periods of rapeseed development, i.e.: Elongation of the main shoot, Development of flower buds, Flowering, the Rapeseed Fertilization Program recommends the following measures:

VitaStar® SUPER Kombi, i.e. a suspension foliar fertilizer for universal use with the content of potassium, magnesium, nitrogen and sulfur. VitaStar® Bor - a solution foliar fertilizer with an appropriate dose of boron, which

Additionally, in the phase of elongation of the main shoot, the growing plant should be fed with specific portions of 4 products at the same time to obtain optimal results.

These are:

    VitaStar® SUPER Kombi - combining the power of many ingredients: potassium, nitrogen, magnesium and sulfur, used in the highest dose among other agents; VitaStar® P - providing high doses of phosphorus and supporting the plant's water management, which is particularly important in the case of rapeseed;

and mineral fertilizers - for especially emergency fertilization, with biostimulating and endurance-supporting properties, in the form of concentrate:

    VitaStar® AminoSuperVitaStar® AscoSuper

Details of the dosage of individual fertilizers are available on the Novagra website, in the "Crop Fertilization Programs" -> Rapeseed tab.
