Growing raspberries - plant characteristics and rules.

Raspberry is one of the favorite fruits in Poland, we like to grow it in our home garden, on a plot or on a commercial plantation.

Raspberry is a thermophilic plant, it should be grown in a sunny place. The best raspberry yields will be obtained:

on plains or small slopes protected against gusty and strong winds; on fertile soils rich in humus, which store nitrogen and water, on slightly acidic soil, close to neutral pH, i.e. 5.5 pH - 6.7 pH, on non-sandy soils soils, on moist but not swampy ground, flood areas should be avoided.

Thanks to nitrogen, a freshly established raspberry plantation will be able to produce healthy and strong vegetation shoots. However, several-year-old raspberry crops should be fertilized in autumn with mineral fertilizers rich in potassium and magnesium.

During the fruiting period of raspberries, we must not forget to fertilize them. Then we should provide the plants with the minerals necessary for growth and proper color of the fruit, i.e. potassium, phosphorus and boron.

If the soil was fertilized with phosphorus before planting the raspberries, do not fertilize it again. During the fruiting period, it is worth providing raspberries with calcium, which strengthens their resistance to gray mold.

Any deficiencies or oversupply of key elements are reflected in the appearance and condition of the plant:

nitrogen deficiency means small, delicate yellow leaves, poor growth and small fruits; excess nitrogen results in too much growth year to year, as well as a dark green color of the leaves or frosting of the shoots, because the plant will later enter the winter dormancy state, potassium deficiency is manifested by yellowing of the leaves on the banks, magnesium deficiency is manifested by the brown color of the leaves and their falling,

Our offer includes an excellent quality product with an innovative composition.

One of them is VitaStar® 36 - solution foliar fertilizer - this mineral fertilizer is very rich in nitrogen; It is recommended for both preventive and emergency use in case of macro- and micronutrient deficiency. In the case of young raspberry plants, their rapid growth also has a positive effect when the developing root system is unable to absorb all the necessary nutrients from the soil.
