Blueberries - characteristics and cultivation in Poland

Blueberry is a berry plant; It has become a permanent staple on Poles' plates, so much so that many people are interested in growing it. However, to enjoy the amazing large fruit and its taste, appropriate blueberry fertilizer is necessary.

Blueberries are plants that like sun and properly acidified soil. To lower the soil pH, use appropriate fertilizers for blueberries. The best soil reaction is between 4.3 and 4.8 pH.

Properly fed with fertilization, plant bushes will give higher yields and will also be more resistant to various diseases, e.g. fungal diseases, often found in blueberries.

It is recommended to scatter or pour the fertilizer under the bush itself.

To enjoy high yields and healthy fruit, all fertilizers should be used in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations. Both excess and lack of nutrients will negatively affect the quality of crops.

Nutrition of blueberries with fertilizers should start in early March and end in early autumn, at the turn of September and October.

Blueberries and berry plants need fertilizers:

phosphorus, used to fertilize the soil before establishing a plantation; nitrogen fertilizers used in summer and during plant vegetation; magnesium, which is applied only in spring.
